South East Animal Rescue Ireland (SEARI) is a passionate, volunteer-led organization dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming animals in need across the Southeast of Ireland. We believe every animal deserves a second chance at a happy, healthy life. Since our founding, we've worked tirelessly to provide a lifeline for neglected, abandoned, and abused animals.
Our mission at South East Animal Rescue Ireland (SEARI) is to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome neglected, abandoned, and abused animals across the Southeast of Ireland. We are dedicated to providing a second chance to those in need, offering essential veterinary care, loving foster homes, and ultimately finding them their forever families. We advocate for responsible pet ownership and strive to improve animal welfare through education and community engagement.
Our vision at South East Animal Rescue Ireland (SEARI) is a future where every animal in the Southeast of Ireland lives free from neglect, abuse, and abandonment. We envision a community where responsible pet ownership is the norm, and animals are valued as cherished family members. Through our continued rescue efforts, public education, and strong community partnerships, we aim to create a compassionate society where all animals are safe, healthy, and experience the love and security of a permanent home.
At South East Animal Rescue Ireland (SEARI), we offer a comprehensive range of programs and services designed to help animals in need and support our community:
Animal Rescue & Emergency Response: We operate a dedicated rescue service, responding to calls about injured, abandoned, neglected, or abused animals across the Southeast. Our team acts swiftly to bring animals to safety, providing immediate care and assessment.
Veterinary Care & Rehabilitation: Every animal entering our care receives thorough veterinary attention. This includes essential health checks, vaccinations, microchipping, deworming, flea treatment, and crucial spaying/neutering. We also provide specialized medical treatment for sick or injured animals and behavioral rehabilitation to help them recover from trauma.
Foster Care Network: Our compassionate network of volunteer foster homes is the backbone of our operation. Animals are placed in loving temporary homes where they can heal, socialize, and learn to trust again in a nurturing environment, away from kennel stress.
Adoption Program: We run a rigorous adoption program to ensure each animal finds a loving, permanent home. This involves a comprehensive application process, home checks, and meet-and-greets to match animals with suitable families. We offer ongoing support and advice to new adopters.
Public Education & Awareness: We are committed to raising awareness about animal welfare issues, promoting responsible pet ownership, and highlighting the importance of spaying/neutering to control pet overpopulation. We engage with the community through online platforms, events, and informational resources.
Community Support & Advice: We offer advice and support to members of the public regarding animal welfare concerns, lost and found pets, and responsible pet care. We aim to be a valuable resource for our community.
